FBI: Cruise guest placed hidden camera in cruise ship bathroom
A cruise ship passenger was arrested by the FBI for allegedly installing a hidden camera in a public bathroom.
Jeremy Froias is accused of setting up a hidden camera on Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the Seas.
It recorded more than 150 people including around 40 children, the Feds say.
Footage from the camera recorded the suspect setting up the recording device and connecting it to his phone.
It took place on a week-long Caribbean cruise from Miami April 29.
Authorities were alerted after another cruise guest noticed the camera a day after it had been installed.
“Some of the minors appeared to be as young as four or five years old,’ a FBI affidavit said.
Froias admitted placing the hidden camera.
He is facing charges of video voyeurism and attempted possession of child exploitation material.
The FBI has set up a website for guests on the voyage who believe they may have been filmed.
