Fiji Airways and Jetstar announce interline agreement

Friday, 30 May, 2016 0
Fiji Airways and Jetstar have signed an interline agreement allowing Fiji Airways passengers to connect through Singapore to more than 20 Jetstar destinations in Asia Pacific.

The interline pact covers all Jetstar Group airlines Jetstar Airways, Jetstar Asia, Jetstar Japan and Jetstar Pacific, Fiji Airways CEO Andre Viljoen said.

"This is an exciting growth phase for our newest international route of Singapore, and allows us to connect our extensive South Pacific network to Jetstar’s impressive network throughout Asia," Viljoen said.

Fiji began twice a week direct flights to Singapore last month.

"This interline agreement means our customers will be able to travel seamlessly through Singapore to 21 destinations in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Vietnam, The Philippines, Cambodia and Myanmar, through Jetstar’s dense network across the Asia Pacific region", Viljoen added.

"Likewise, guests will be able to conveniently experience the wonders of our home, Fiji, and the South Pacific via the Singapore hub."

The agreement starts with all Jetstar destinations from Singapore, and will then eventually cover all 73 destinations served by the Jetstar Group carriers.

Jetstar has a large portfolio of interline partners including American Airlines, Sri Lankan Airlines, Vietnam Airlines, Finnair, LATAM and Emirates.
