Finnair increases Lapland service following Thomas Cook collapse
Finnair has added extra flights to Lapland to meet the surge in demand from UK customers following the collapse of Thomas Cook.
It will operate up to three extra flights a day between the Finnish capital Helsinki and the three main Lapland resorts, Rovaniemi, Kittila and Ivalo.
In total, the airline will offer more than 23 extra flights between December 20 and January 5.
Flights from Heathrow, Manchester, Edinburgh and Dublin will connect to the Lapland flights at Helsinki.
Finnair also offers seasonal direct flights to Ivalo and Kittila from Gatwick from mid-December to early March.
