Finnair strike avoided but services still disrupted

Friday, 15 November 20133 min read

Strike action by Finnair staff has been called off but the airline will still not operate the 130 flights it had cancelled today.

The airline said 10,000 customers have been affected by the strike threat, by being either rerouted, rescheduled or refunded.

It said flights would be back to normal over the weekend.

The Finnish Cabin Crew Union and Finnish Aviation Union had threatened to strike from today (Friday) until November 23.

They had been protesting over pay and benefits but an agreement has now been reached.
