Holland America Line’s new ship Nieuw Amsterdam has been floated out of its dry dock in Italy where it is under construction.
The 2,106-passenger vessel was towed to a fitting-out dock at the Fincantieri shipyard where it will be finished and delivered in early July 2010.
The vessel is a sister-ship to the Eurodam, the second in the premium line’s Signature-class series.
