First VR powered networking event for hotels unveiled
Asia-based virtual reality provider Gecko Digital has teamed up with Hummingbird Travel to introduce the Limitless platform.
They say it is the first ever virtual reality showcase of hotels and resorts hosted within a VR networking online directory.
Limitless will be an ‘always on’ digital platform for tour operators, travel agents and media to get information, view the hotels and resorts in VR, and request meetings with the properties.
Launching Autumn 2021 Limitless will have users with virtual booths offering Gecko Digital VR tours that allow visitors to view aerial, interior and underwater 360 imagery.
Alongside the VR content, they can view and download hotel brochures and schedule meetings.
Limitless will also have a VR Auditorium, a calendar of live-streamed keynote speeches from industry experts, events, product launches and training.
Hotels will be able to host their own events.
There will also be an instant messaging tool for live networking
Gecko Digital partnered with Hummingbird Travel, an Indian Ocean wholesaler and ground handler specialising in the Maldives, Sri Lanka, Mauritius and Seychelles to launch Limitless.
Additionally, Gecko Digital, in partnership with Igotopia, announced the coinciding launch of Igoroom in Autumn 2021.
Igoroom will be a VR booking platform, allowing customers to view hotels in immersive 360 degrees.
