Fish festival set to net shoals of visitors

Pembrokeshire Fish Week Festival will be packed with tasty catches

Planning is underway for the 2015 Pembrokeshire Fish Week Festival! Taking place between Saturday 27th June and Sunday 5th July the festival looks set to be tastier than ever!

Celebrating not just the County’s abundance of seafood and local produce but also its beautiful coast and beaches, clean seas, fishing heritage and community spirit, there really is something for all ages and tastes!

For seasoned foodies or fish fanatics the event promises to have plenty of eating out opportunities to get mouths watering, from fish feasts to luxury BBQ’s, taster evenings , to guest chef nights and even seashore grazing menus.

Other delicious events will include cookery workshops, demonstrations and master classes Already confirmed to feature is Celebrity Chef Dean Edwards from ITV’s Lorraine program, look out for more chef announcements in the new year!

Visitors can dance off their meals with live local music, or try something a little more stimulating like kayaking or Coasteering with a seashore lunch.

There are also lots of great family activities to enjoy. Children can participate in art and craft sessions, crab catching or beach and river exploring. And from rock pools to rock music head to Pembroke Castle on Saturday 4th July for Kings and Queens of the Castle band night.  

Throughout the week there will also be plenty of leisurely outdoor activities to whet appetites from guided coastal walks, boat and fishing trips, cycle hire to seashore foraging sessions. For the keen angler there will be fishing competitions with lessons and taster days for beginners and those simply wanting to improve their skills.

The festival will begin with an Opening event at Milford Fish Docks on Saturday 27th July, with plenty of stands, chef demos, cookery workshops, live music and hands on family activities plus tasty dishes to sample in the ‘Blas-y-tir’ Feast on Fish pop-up restaurant.
