Five million Brits to travel abroad for Christmas holidays
About five million travellers are taking Christmas holidays overseas, trade body ABTA said.
It expects Friday 23 December will be the busiest day with Christmas Day the quietest.
Around three million will pass through Heathrow on their Christmas holidays in the coming days.
Another million are set to leave from Stansted and London Luton, according to ABTA data.
The Canary Islands, Spain and Turkey are some of the most popular festive sunshine destinations.
