A flight attendant is suing her airline for back and neck injuries she allegedly suffered during a bumpy landing in Dublin.
Cassandra Reddin, aged 32, told Dublin’s High Court that she thought she was going to die on the Aer Lingus flight from Malaga.
She said the plane bounced along the runway, smashing passengers’ duty-free bottles of alcohol stashed in overhead luggage bins.
Reddin claims she thought the plane, which her counsel claims descended at three or four times the usual speed, was going to over-shoot the runway.
She told the court it was rocking from side to side as it approached the airport in what was described as ‘blustery conditions’.
After allegedly sustaining back and shoulder injuries during the incident in November 2009, she told the court she had to take a significant amount of time off work. She has since moved to a social media role at Aer Lingus.
The airline denies the allegations and the case continues.
