Food in the nude?

Thursday, 16 November 20063 min read

At the Mexican resort of La Vista, guests bask in the warm sun while dining at linen-covered tables and ordering up tropical mango salad, seafood citrus soup and angus tenderloin with perhaps a glass of wine.

Oh, yes, and everyone is naked.

Hidden Beach Resort in Mexico is a luxury nudist property by Karisma Hotels. This adult-only property with a hidden beach is known as a premier nudist destination for dining.

When vacationing sans clothes—or even in a skimpy bikini—certain foods have proven to be practical and skin-friendly, according to resort officials. The chefs at Hidden Beach have created a menu that considers the unique needs of its patrons. No hot soup, for example, and very few dishes involving beans.

Foods that detract from outer beauty—pre-mixed drinks, over-processed foods and refined sugars—are conspicuously absent.

Specific ingredients that encourage healthy skin, however, are prevalent: deep-sea fish, avocado, berries, melon, olive oil, dark green vegetables and tomatoes.

The rates at Hidden Beach range from $200-$390 per person, per room. There are 42 Ocean Front Suites including 18 Swim-Up Suites.

Gourmet-Inclusive features include:

  • Glass of champagne upon check in

  • Bottle of sparkling white wine in room upon arrival

  • All gourmet, à la carte meals and snacks

  • All premium liquor including innovative cocktails and soft drinks

  • 24 hour room service

  • Beachfront swimming pool with attached lazy river and swim-up bar

  • Oversized beachfront hot-tub

  • Scuba diving clinics in the pool

  • Exclusive concierge service

  • Unlimited access to all facilities at El Dorado Seaside Suites (clothing required)
