Monday, 03 Feb, 2023 0

The Foreign Office updated its travel advice for France amid the potential of more nationwide strikes.

Unions called for two more days of strikes on February 7 and 11.

They are opposing a government plan to raise the pension age,

Mass protests took place on January 19 causing disruption to public transport and other services.

“Unions have called for cross-sector strike action on 7 and 11 February,” the FCDO said.

“Localised or sector specific strikes could also occur outside these dates. Industrial action may lead to disruption to services.”

“Please check the latest advice with operators before travelling,” it added.
