Former Carlson Wagonlit CEO takes the helm of American Express GBT

American Express Global Business Travel (GBT) has named Doug Anderson as new CEO.
Anderson takes the helm of GBT with immediate effect and brings 30 years’ global leadership experience.
He is former chief executive of Carlson Wagonlit Travel and was also senior vice president of finance and CFO at UPS Logistics Group.
Anderson also held positions at airline industry tech provider SITA Group.
"Over the past two years, we have assembled an unparalleled team of top industry talent, and Doug is the right leader to continue the great momentum we’ve seen with GBT to date," said Greg O’Hara, chairman, American Express Global Business Travel.
"We are a proven, winning team backed by substantial investment, with a focus on the future. Our infrastructure transformation is nearing completion and our M&A activity is ramping up quickly."
GBT was spun off from American Express two years ago and employs about 12,000 in nearly 120 counties worldwide.
