Former Silversea boss takes over as Abercrombie & Kent CEO
Abercrombie & Kent has a new chief executive.
The luxury tour operator named Amerigo Perasso as CEO, replacing co-founder Geoffrey Kent.
Perasso is a former CEO of Silversea in a 14-year stint at the luxury cruise line.
It follows a buyout earlier this year from previous owner Zhonghong Holdings Group by Silversea chairman Manfredi Lefebvre and Kent.
Lefebvre took a 85% stake in A&K, while Kent holds 15%.
"We are pleased to welcome Amerigo Perasso as the new chief executive officer. He will be working closely with us and the Board of the Directors to implement our strategic vision," Kent said.
"He brings substantial operating expertise in luxury leisure travel and cruising to our organization."
Kent now joins Lefebvre as co-chairmen.
