Four dead after Duck Tour vehicle collision in Seattle

Four people are dead and dozens injured after a collision between a ‘duck tour’ vehicle and a charter bus in Seattle.
The amphibious ‘Ride the Ducks of Seattle’ tourist vehicle slammed into the side of the bus carrying college students on the Aurora Bridge.
Two other cars were also caught up in the crash.
Seattle fire chief Harold Scoggins said 44 were initially hospitalized with at least 12 in a serious or critical condition.
All the confirmed dead were North Seattle College students travelling in the bus, Seattle police detective Patrick Michaud told CNN.
"Ride the Ducks of Seattle wishes to express its sincerest condolences to the family and friends of the people who were killed and those that were injured," a statement from the tour company said.
The cause of the crash has not been confirmed yet but witnesses on the bridge said the duck tour bus may have been faulty in the seconds leading up to the collision.
"It looked like the wheel on the duck bus broke off," said motorist Jesse Christenson.
Brad Volm, the driver of one of the cars hit in the crash, said there was leaking fuel coming from the Duck’s front left tire.
Duck tours – which can travel on land and water – are a popular way to tour downtown sights and attractions, and operate in many US cities.
