Four for two on Gatwick Express
The Gatwick Express has launched a 50 percent discount for groups.
The rail-air link between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport is offering four adult return tickets for £43, instead of £86, or four singles for £22, instead of £44. According to the website the offer is also available for two adults travelling together.
Tickets can be purchased online, over the phone, or at Victoria and Gatwick, and the return ticket is valid for one month after the purchase date. The discount will not be given in conjunction with railcards or to children under 15.
London’s rail-air links are regularly coming under fire over for charging high fares. Stansted Express is the cheapest,based on journey time, charging 29 pence per minute (based on 45-minute trip), then Gatwick at 37 pence per minute (based on 30-minute trip), and the Heathrow Express is the most pricey, at 78 pence per minute (15-minute trip).
