Four tourists die in sightseeing plane crash
Four Polish tourists have been confirmed dead in a sightseeing plane crash near Denali, Alaska.
National Park rangers discovered the wreckage containing four bodies and believe the pilot also died, although no body has yet been found.
The crash site is in ‘extremely technical terrain’ on a hanging glacier which has been made more difficult by bad weather and poor visability, said Katherine Belcher, spokesperson for Denali National Park.
"There were no footprints or disturbances leading away from the site and there were no other signs to indicate any of the passengers made it out of the plane," Belcher said in a statement.
The plane took off from Talkeetna and went down near the Thunder Mountain peak.
Temporary flight restrictions imposed in the area of the crash have now been lifted.
