Frontier Airlines is taking no chances with the weather this time and has proactively cancelled 23 flights in and out of Denver for Wednesday and Thursday.
It is bracing itself for a heavy winter storm which is expected to dump several feet of snow.
The storm may also severely impact southern Wyoming, the entire Salt Lake Valley and Northern California.
The airline says more flight cancelations are possible.
Customers ticketed to travel on Wednesday or Thursday can make one itinerary change for a new flight to be completed by Friday, January 27 free of charge.
Origin and destination cities may be changed or passengers may request a full refund.
The carrier came in for severe criticism two weeks ago during a previous winter storm in Denver.
It was accused of ‘mismanagement’ for not taking adequate measures, resulting in about 70% of flights either canceled or delayed.
That left thousands stranded at the airport and hours-long lines for customers.
It took several days for the airline to get operations back to normal.
