A Christmas market in the German city of Potsdam was evacuated on Friday after an explosive device was found close by.
The device was sent to a pharmacy in the city, which is south-west of Berlin.
Last December, 12 people were killed and 56 injured when a lorry was driven through a Christmas market in Berlin.
The Foreign Office has recently issued a warning to visitors to popular European Christmas markets to expect heightened security at festive events this year.
It updated its advice for Germany, France, Italy, Austria, Denmark and the Netherlands, said visitors ‘should be vigilant and follow the advice of local authorities’.
