Get lost in the game of golf with ProLink GPS
ProLink Solutions, the world’s leading provider of Global Positioning Satellite ("GPS") golf course management systems and digital out-of-home on-course advertising — today announces its exclusive distributor in Spain, Golf Consulting Services, has installed the ProLink GPS system at Dehesa Montenmedio Golf and Country Club (Vejer de la Frontera, Cadiz, Spain).
Opened in 1996, Montenmedio is considered one of Europe’s must-play courses. Stunning woodland scenery, replete with abundant wildlife, frames the course’s broad fairways. Montenmedio offers enough challenge to regularly host professional events, including 2008 European Tour Qualifying School. Slick greens and cavernous bunkers highlight the fair but demanding layout.
One of Europe’s most recognized golf consultant specialists, Golf Consulting Services oversees sales, marketing, installation and service of ProLink screens mounted on golf carts in Spain and Portugal. Golf Consulting Services and ProLink also partner on the advertising platform on ProLink- installed courses across these countries, which boast hundreds of courses blessed with sun-splashed climates and beautiful scenery.
"We are excited to offer our golfing guests the use of ProLink GPS, which makes their experience at Montenmedio even more enjoyable," says resort President Antonio Blazquez. "The system provides superb graphics and yardage information, while our operations staff can manage pace of play and cart maintenance more efficiently. We expect an outstanding return on our investment in ProLink GPS."
"Montenmedio stands among the most revered golf properties on the continent and we are delighted to enter this partnership," says Eugenio Reviriego, General Manager and Founding Partner of Golf Consulting Services. "Courses engaging with ProLink and Golf Consulting Services understand the value our system delivers both as a golfer amenity and business tool. We anticipate many more of the great courses of Spain and Portugal joining the ranks of ProLink customers."
A host of acclaimed international courses currently utilize ProLink GPS, including past Ryder Cup sites the K Club (Ireland), Valderrama (Spain) and 2002 Presidents Cup venue Fancourt Hotel and Country Club Estate (South Africa), as well as world-class clubs throughout Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
Courses in Spain and Portugal engaging with ProLink benefit from the system’s many game-enhancing features, such as pinpoint yardages, accurate hole depictions and helpful pro tips, as well as ProLink’s innovative management functions. The system helps speed pace of play while promoting increased food-and-beverage and merchandise revenue. In fact, courses installing ProLink GPS realize an average return on investment of more than 200 percent.
ProLink’s system is now featured at more than 700 golf properties on six continents. More than 550 of these courses are equipped with media-ready systems to support on-screen advertisements worldwide. Domestically, the ProLink Network reaches more than 13 million golfers annually. Through its ProFit program, ProLink is responsible for on-screen ad sales and courses share these revenues.
