Global Travel Group reports record membership rise
The Global Travel Group has reported a 22% rise in membership levels in the last 12 months.
The agency consortium said this was a record number.
Of the agencies who have signed up, 43% are experienced industry professionals and the rest are newcomers.
Head of new business Rhian Herbert said he was delighted to be encouraging more new and established agents into running their own travel businesses.
The consortium is gearing up for its annual conference, due to take place at La Manga Club in Murcia, Spain, May 21-24.
TV presenter and cruise singer Jane McDonald was recently confirmed as the guest speaker of the three-day conference.
