Golf travel agent one of last to carry Olympic Torch
The co-founder of YourGolfTravel.com, Ross Marshall, carried the Olympic Torch through London in recognition for his charity work.
Marshall and his co-founder, Andrew Harding, are well-known for their charity work in the golf industry.
The former city trader carried the torch between Southwark Bridge and London Bridge on Day 69 of the Olympic flame’s journey.
He was joined by other torchbearers including television celebrities Sir Bruce Forsyth, David Walliams, Joanna Lumley and Jennifer Saunders, England World Cup winning rugby coach Sir Clive Woodward and UN secretary general Ban Ki Moon.
Marshall completed his latest fundraising adventure earlier this month when he helped raise more than £20,000 for the Seve Ballesteros Foundation and Cancer Research UK.
He has also been instrumental in setting up a number of fundraising initiatives including Golf4Heroes and Seve Da, a Europe-wide golf tournament in July and August to raise money for Ballesteros’s Foundation.
In addition, he has climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and run the London and New York marathons in aid of Help for Heroes.

Marshall said: "I cannot begin to describe the feeling of exhilaration that I felt from being a part of the torch relay.
"I was selected for my charity efforts but in truth, I was representing all the golfers who have donated their time, effort and money to fundraising over the years.
"After walking 300 miles, carrying the torch 300 yards was a welcome change. It was great to see so many friends, family and members of the public out there supporting me in what is the biggest event ever staged in London – my home town."
