Google Earth boosts Adventure Company web activity
The Adventure Company is reporting increased visitors to its website as a result of adding a Google Earth facility to the service.
The global tours specialist adopted the technology earlier this month when website development company Netizen introduced its integrated Google Earth technology for its travel customers.
The Adventure Company’s web master Keith Lavender said: “There has been a huge surge of people coming onto the site. We’re offering customers the ability to find holidays in a different way. Rather than searching on the website they can search around the globe.”
The addition of the facility has brought increased traffic to the site because the Adventure Company appears organically on search engines when potential customers use the search term ‘Google Earth’.
Lavender added: “This is to do with customer service and giving them something they can experience before they have gone travelling.”
According to Lavender, dramatic landscapes such as the Grand Canyon or the Atlas Mountains are particularly appealing viewed on Google Earth.
