Google software issue causes airline booking outage
The websites of the big three airlines are back up again after outages Monday prevented customers booking flights. American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines were impacted by a Google software issue that supplies price and flight information.
The error affected the sites for several hours. "A data error impacted our flight shopping software, which prevented airline partners, as well as Google Flights, from showing fare information," Google said. Google implemented a fix and ‘the issue has now been mitigated.’
Delta said it affected its website, app and call center operations.
