Thursday, 01 Feb, 2005 0

The venerable Grand Hotel Marriott Resort, Golf club & Spa now has 137,000 square feet of meeting space that includes a new ballroom and eight new meetings rooms.

The 157-year-old hotel, a survivor of the Civil War, underwent a $50 million renovation completed in 2003.

The 402-room facility’s 20,000 square foot spa ranked #1 in guest satisfaction in the US, according to a Marriott International survey.

An 18-hole golf course was renovated last year. Tennis courts are also available.

Amenities include a 37-slip for sailboats, fishing boats and yachts.

Point Clear is near Mobile, Alabama. It is one of the state’s few AAA four Diamond properties.
