Greater Bay Airlines approved to fly from Hong Kong
New airline startup Greater Bay Airlines was granted a licence to operate services to and from Hong Kong. The Air Transport Licensing Authority gave authority to operate flights for five years on up to 104 routes.
These routes include the mainland, Japan, Vietnam, and South Korea. Under the terms of the licence, GBA can carry passengers, cargo, or mail on any or all of the routes.
The airline is backed by Bill Wong Cho-bau, the owner of Shenzhen-based Donghai Airlines.
