Guests were evacuated in the French ski resort area of Courchevel 1850 after a large fire ripped through a luxury hotel.
A blaze began on an upper level of the five-star Grandes Alpes on Tuesday and was still burning until the following morning.
It spread to an adjacent restaurant and guests at a second hotel were evacuated for their safety.
“Around 100 people were evacuated from the Grandes Alpes hotel, and some 60 firefighters are still involved in trying to put out the fire,” an emergency services spokesman said early on Wednesday.
In addition, around 200 were evacuated from the next door Lana Hotel.
Evacuees spent the night in a community hall.
However, authorities said there were no serious casualties reported.
Guests of the Grandes Alpes have been reaccommodated at other hotels.
The hotel houses nine luxury apartment style units costing upwards of £11,000 per night.
Courchevel 1850, in Les Trois Vallées, is one of the most exclusive resorts in the French Alps.
