Leading Chinese carrier Hainan Airlines will launch non-stop flights linking Shenzhen and Brisbane.
The twice weekly service kicks off on September 20, 2017.
It becomes Hainan’s fifth direct flight to Australasia and the second intercontinental service out of Shenzhen after Shenzhen-Auckland.
The route will be served by Airbus A330 wide-body aircraft.
Shenzhen and the Queensland capital have been sister cities since the 19990s.
The carrier now operates to nearly 100 cities across Asia, Europe, North America and the Pacific.
