Harvey World Travel experiences 400 per cent growth in online sales
Australia’s leading travel retailer, Harvey World Travel, has recorded a 400 per cent growth in online sales over the first quarter.
This increase in online sales is measured against the same period from last year and demonstrates an exponential trend in online sales.
The take off of Harvey World Travel’s online sales cements their place as the leading travel professionals, both in store and online.
Harvey World Travel’s CEO Barry Mayo attributes this growth to Harvey World Travel’s ability to meet the changing needs of their customers.
“Our customers are becoming increasingly internet savvy and want to shop from the convenience of their home or from the office on demand,” Mr Mayo said. “The new Harvey World Travel website design takes this into consideration, offering customers a user friendly booking engine with simple transaction processes and easy to use features.
Online customers also value the opportunity to deal with a major brand travel agency that they can trust. Harvey World Travel has a solid reputation and is a brand that people know and have faith in,” he said.
The new look Harvey World Travel website launched in September is a key factor in the continuing online sales growth.
In addition to the user-friendly website design, the site offers weekly email newsletters, which support both the Harvey World Travel shop network and online sales. As a bonus, every person who subscribes to the newsletter before 30 November goes into a draw to win 2 tickets to Hawaii.
The Compare, Buy, Fly online booking engine is an additional site feature that has been instrumental to Harvey World Travel’s online success. Customers select their travel dates and the booking engine will display all airfares with Qantas, Jetstar and Virgin Blue in one view with guaranteed availability.
Customers no longer need to flick between airline websites to find the best fare and can even travel with different carriers for different legs of the journey and still pay in a single transaction. Booking international travel online with Harvey World Travel is just as easy as domestic – a feature not available on the Flight Centre website.
