A dedicated advice line for people with ‘do-it-yourself’ holiday bookings concerned over potential disruption following the latest terrorist threats has been set up by Harvey World Travel.
The specialist phone line has been established for those who have not booked and arranged their holiday through a travel agent and may be confused or concerned about the effects of the issues in the UK on different elements of their booking.
Managing director John Donnelly said: “For ‘do it yourself’ holidays, these travellers may find the prospect of making separate calls to contact their airline, hotelier, transport provider and insurance company in turn rather daunting as well as time consuming. ”
“We cannot take over their booking but we can point them in the right direction and our experienced staff are on hand now to offer advice.”
“In times like this, it is important to all pull together and that’s why we have taken this initiative.”
The measure follows the attempted bombings in London and at Glasgow Airport, putting the UK on high security alert with air passengers and rail commuters facing delays.
The contact number is +44 8704 101 380, available Monday – Thursday from 08.30-20.00, Friday 08.30- 19.00 and Saturday 0900-17.00 (UK time).
An email address has also been set up, at: [email protected]
