Haven reports record advanced sales
Haven is claiming to have seen record advanced sales for 2011, with a 7% increase year on year.
It says the growth comes after a strong year in 2010, which has seen trade sales for its Platinum-grade accommodation increase by 35%, as well as a 60% rise in seven-night bookings across its parks during peak periods.
Haven has announced an investment of more than £40 million on new attractions and improvements to its 35 UK holiday parks for 2011, which will include more Lazy Rivers and Multi-Lane slide developments across its SplashZone water areas plus £12 million spent on brand new holiday homes.
Allan Lambert, head of retail sales for Haven’s parent Bourne Leisure, said: â€2010 has demonstrated that the UK continues to be a popular holiday choice for many and our forward booking figures indicate this trend is here to stay.
“Reinvesting profits back into our parks and continuously improving our accommodation and facilities has allowed us to maintain customer confidence when holidaying with Haven.â€
