Haven reports rise in bookings after flight uncertainty

Thursday, 20 May 20103 min read

Haven has reported a 60% rise in seven-night bookings across its Parks for May half term.

Allan Lambert, head of retail sales, said: “There has been a big increase in families booking longer breaks. We attribute this fact to the current uncertainty with flights, coupled with the recent spell of glorious weather that looks set to continue, resulting in people choosing to spend a week rather than a short break in the UK.

“Consumers are also holidaying much nearer to home. Statistically most of our holidaymakers drive about two hours to get to their choice of Haven Holiday Park, but our latest research shows that people are now travelling even shorter distances with many selecting destinations no more than an hour from where they live.”
