Hawaii may impose ‘extreme measures’ amid Covid surge
Tougher curbs on mobility may be on the cards in Hawaii to contain the spread of Covid. Maui has proposed stricter restrictions on locals and tourists while Hawaii Gov. David Ige said more ‘extreme measures’ could be implemented.
It could involve lockdowns and temporarily closing businesses. He is asking people to voluntarily avoid gatherings for four weeks and Hawaii County Mayor Mitch Roth has asked visitors to stay in their resort bubbles.
