Scott Cammell, Sales and Marketing Manager Australia, Hawaiian Airlines said yesterday that following the earthquake off the Big Island of Hawaii, which caused power outages through much of the State, electricity is being restored progressively and flights are resuming.
He announced that Hawaiian Airlines has recommenced services from Honolulu Airport to neighbour islands, including the Big Island, where Kona Airport has been reopened, adding delays are occurring as we begin to move large numbers of passengers disrupted by the earlier airport closures, however, we are committed to resuming normal schedules, and moving all passengers, as quickly as possible.
Scoot also said that Hawaiian’s Wednesday evening flight from Sydney to Honolulu, flight HA 452, will operate as normal, as will onward flights to neighbour islands.
Travellers booked to fly to Honolulu and then on to Kona are asked to contact their travel agents to check for information about their accommodation and tour arrangements.
