Hebridean issues new winter itineraries
New itineraries around Africa and the Indian Ocean have been unveiled by Hebridean International Cruises.
Winter 2008-09 sailings on 98-passenger Hebridean Spirit include voyages taking in Madagascar, the Seychelles and Namibia.
Shore excursions include 4×4 trips across the Namib desert, a Big Five game drive, visits to a lemur conservation programme in Madagascar.
The ship also calls at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Aldabra Atoll, north of Madagascar, home to giant tortoise, endangered birds and exotic fish. Marine wildlife lecturer Tim Earl will accompany these cruises.
Prices include £6,501 per person for a Natural Wonders in the Seychelles cruise between November 7-19.
The cruises feature in a newly published South Africa and the Indian Ocean brochure.
