Hertz adds fun to US car rental
Hertz is offering a fun new way for leisure travellers to explore the USA with the launch of the Hertz Fun Collection, a fleet of unique and exciting vehicles ranging from Ford Mustang convertibles to Hummers.
From this month, Hertz will offer more than 8,000 Fun Collection vehicles at 18 airport locations in sun and ski destinations across North America, including Hawaii, progressively expanding to other destinations.
“The Hertz Fun Collection redefines leisure rentals in America,” said Kevin Doyle, International Sales and Marketing Manager for Hertz Australia. “Not only does it offer vehicles for leisure – it offers a range of special automobiles which our research shows customers would like to drive some day.”
The Hertz Fun Collection features convertibles including the Ford Mustang, Mazda Miata, Toyota Solara, PT Cruiser and Chrysler Sebring; coupes/roadsters including Ford Mustang (hard-top), PT Cruiser, Chevy HHR and Nissan 350Z; and SUVs such as the Ford Escape XLT Sport, Jeep Wrangler, Nissan Murano and Hummer H3.
The Hertz Fun Collection can be specifically reserved and guaranteed.
“Customers told us that the car they drove on a vacation could be a memorable part of the overall experience, but other than the Hertz Prestige Collection vehicles, whether they got a truly interesting car or SUV was a matter of hit or miss,” said Mr Doyle.
“So, we’re expanding the customers’ ability to choose and reserve the specific car that fits their vacation desires. With these exciting new vehicles, we’re reinforcing Hertz’s commitment to offer customers the broadest selection of driving choices coupled with the highest level of service.”
Initially, vehicles will be offered in California, Florida, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado and Hawaii.

The Hertz Fun Collection may also be reserved through travel agents or by calling Hertz in Australia on 13 30 39.
