HK cruise cancelled due to infected crew member
A scheduled cruise to nowhere sailing from Hong Kong literally went nowhere after a positive Covid test caused a last minute cancellation.
A crew member tested positive for Covid-19. It was only discovered after 1,000 of the 1,200 passengers had already boarded the ship the for the four-night sailing.
The crew member had no direct contact with the passengers, The HK Centre for Health Protection said. The person had no symptoms.
The cruise line said the ship’s next sailing on Sunday went ahead as normal.
