Holland America is the latest cruise line to increase daily shipboard gratuities.
Increases will take effective for cruises departing from December 1, 2015, and follow similar increases from Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises and Norwegian Cruise Line in recent months.
Daily service charge for Holland America guests in interior, oceanview and verandah cabins will go up by one dollar a day to $12.50.
Guests staying in suites will pay $13.50 a day, up from $12.
Classed as a ‘discretionary’ daily service charge, gratuities can still be amended by guests to reflect the level of service provided.
