Hong Kong bans Air India flights again
Hong Kong has banned Air India flights for a fourth time after more glitches in its pre-travel testing protocols.
A flight from Mumbai carried passengers who subsequently tested positive for Covid-19 on arrival.
It is the fourth time the Hong Kong government has imposed a ban, and this one will last until10 November.
On three previous occasions it imposed bans in August, September and late October on the Delhi-Hong Kong route.
A Covid-19 negative test certificate is mandatory for all passengers, and Hong Kong has issued bans to several other airlines in the past few months, including fellow Indian carrier Vistara.
All airlines must submit an undertaking stating that all passengers onboard have Covid-19 negative certificates.
Hong Kong officials have previously called out the lax standards at some Indian testing labs.
