Hong Kong Disneyland is being forced to close yet again due to a fourth wave of Covid-19 infections.

Hong Kong recorded 76 new cases on 30 November with Carrie Lam announcing a third closure of the park since the pandemic began.

HKDL first closed early in the pandemic until mid-June, and then a second time from mid-July until 25 September.

It impacts the park’s ’15 Years of Magical Dreams’ anniversary celebrations which were due to begin in the next two weeks.

The new restrictions issued by Lam take effect from Wednesday 2 December and last for at least two weeks.

It also affects Hong Kong’s other major theme park Ocean Park.

Lam also announced the closure of karaoke lounges, gaming centres, swimming pools, and tighter restrictions at restaurants.

These restrictions include closing at 10pm and a limit of only two diners per table.
