Hotels targeted in Jordan terror attacks
Terrorist attacks on three hotels in Amman killed at least 57 people and left hundreds wounded.
Suicide bombers are suspected of carrying out the bombings at the Radisson, Grand Hyatt and Day Inn hotels in the capital of Jordan.
Al-Qaeda claimed responsibility for the attacks.
Security has been heightened and the country’s land borders were shut after the attacks on Wednesday.
Rezidor SAS Hospitality confimred that a bomb had exploded at the Radisson SAS Hotel in Amman.
A statement from the company said: “This was one of a series of explosions in the city. The extent of the damage and the number of injuries cannot be confirmed at this time.
“The hotel is working closely with local authorities and emergency workers to provide aid to those who were injured.
“Guests have been evacuated amd the hotel is working to insure their safety and security.
“We are saddened by this tragic incident and are mobilising to clarify the facts and assist those who have been impacted.”
