It seems Hyatt Hotels Corp and Expedia have settled their differences for now.
Hyatt’s inventory will continue to be listed on Expedia Inc’s websites which include Travelocity, Orbitz and hotels.com.
‘Productive discussions’ have saved the day after Hyatt threatened to pull all its hotels off Expedia’s at the end of the current contract which expired on Monday.
"We’ve had productive discussions with Expedia and have agreed in principle on terms that address our concerns about distribution costs and flexibility," a Hyatt spokesperson said.
"We expect that Hyatt hotels will continue to be distributed on Expedia platforms without disruption."
Hyatt had made noises about the high costs of OTA commissions and signed a distribution agreement with rival Booking.com just weeks after it announced a falling out with Expedia.
While it will happily take the business that comes its way via Expedia, Hyatt is still heavily pushing its book direct campaign.
"We remain focused on growing the value proposition for our guests who book directly with Hyatt so that we can build stronger relationships with them," the spokesperson said.
