Wednesday, 03 Dec, 2019 0

Hyatt Hotels Corp has a busy year ahead for its luxury brands.

The company plans to open more than 20 new luxury hotels globally by the end of 2020 across multiple brands.

These include Park Hyatt, Andaz, Alila, Grand Hyatt, Miraval and The Unbound Collection.

The Unbound Collection will see expansion in Europe and five new Park Hyatt hotels are expected to open by 2020 in Doha, Jakarta, Indonesia; Niseko, Japan; Suzhou, China; and Auckland.

Next year the Park Hyatt brand celebrates its 40th anniversary.

"Europe, in particular, with its unique and historic architecture, represents a natural home for The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand. Across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, as well as Southwest Asia, luxury properties account for over a third of our portfolio," said Peter Fulton, Hyatt’s group president—EAME SWA.

Several Andaz hotels are scheduled to open next year in Shenzhen and Xiamen in China, Bali and Palm Springs.

The Grand Hyatt brand will also mark its debut in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait next year.

In the US, Grand Hyatt Nashville will launch in 2020, following the recent opening of Grand Hyatt at SFO, the only on-airport hotel at SFO.

Hyatt also plans to expand the Alila brand to Malaysia, Switzerland and Oman.
