IATA medical adviser: Risk doubles of in-flight infections
A medical adviser to the International Air Transport Association says air travellers are two or three times more likely to contract Covid-19 on a flight due to the Omicron variant.
Dr. David Powell told Bloomberg News the relative risk has probably increased.
The general assumption is the risk of infection has increased compared to the Delta strain. "The greatest protection you can give yourself is to be vaccinated and boosted," he said.
