IGLTA selects Palm Springs for 2025 LGBTQ+ travel industry convention
The International LGBTQ+ Travel Association will convene for its 2025 Global Convention in Palm Springs, California.
It announced Palm Springs as the host destination and is partnering with Visit Greater Palm Springs to make the event possible.
The convention brings together travel professionals, industry leaders, and LGBTQ+ leaders from around the globe.
Attendees can expect educational sessions, networking, and keynote presentations from LGBTQ+ travel industry thought leaders.
“Palm Springs exemplifies a destination with a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere, combined with its stunning landscapes,” said IGLTA Board Chair Felipe Cardenas.
“We look forward to coming together in this remarkable destination in 2025.”
Palm Springs has been popular with LGBTQ+ community for decades, showcasing its diversity.
Palm Springs has been called the Capital of Inclusion, with the thriving local LGBTQ+ community.
In 2017, Palm Springs elected the nation’s first all LGBTQ+ city council.
In 2021, it named the first openly transgender mayor in the state and only the third nationwide.
The HRC has recognized Palm Springs with a perfect Municipal Equality Index, a benchmarking tool demonstrating how Palm Springs supports the LGBTQ+ community.

Palm Springs has been the home of some of the most iconic LGBTQ+ events.
The first Palm Springs Pride was held in 1986 and has now grown into one of the preeminent Pride celebrations in the United States.
In 1991 Mariah Hanson created the world-famous Dinah Shore Weekend.
More than 30 years later, it continues to attract attendees from all over the world.
The White Party Palm Springs is a weekend-long celebration of LGBTQ+ culture, music, and art, and is one of the largest gatherings of its kind in the world.
