Independent agency boss Daniele Broccoli of Britaly Travel has been voted is as the first ABTA chairman.
He beat Advantage Travel Centres managing director John McEwan to the role and will head the association’s board of directors.
The result of the members’ vote was unveiled this afternoon.
Broccoli succeeds president Justin Fleming who has stepped down after a three-year term of office.
