India cracks down on carry-on bags
India’s Bureau of Civil Aviation Security issued new rules limiting the number of carry-on items to just one. Flyers with multiple bags are clogging security checkpoints which have led to flight delays and passenger congestion.
The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security issued the new circular and ordered airlines to strictly enforce the new regulation. It asked that airlines display appropriate signage and deploy staff to check passengers’ hand luggage prior to pre-boarding security checks.
