India tells airlines to get tough with masks on flights
India’s Air regulator the Directorate General of Civil Aviation demanded airlines crack down on passengers not wearing masks on planes.
It called for strict action from airlines as Covid cases rise across India.
The DGCA said it will conduct ‘random checks’ on flights to make sure airlines are properly managing Covid-19 protocols.
Airlines must enforce passengers are wearing face masks properly throughout the duration of the flight and ‘strict action will be taken ‘against passengers not complying.
