Indian tycoon buys iconic country club hotel Stoke Park
Asia’s richest billionaire Mukesh Ambani is buying the landmark Stoke Park stately home hotel and country club. Ambani’s Reliance Industries Ltd agreed a £57 million deal for the property which comprises a hotel, golf course, sports facilities and 300 acres of parkland.
The 900-year old property was the location of two James Bond movies as well as The Crown TV series.
Reliance Industries ‘will look to enhance the sports and leisure facilities at this heritage site.’ Ambani has a reputed net worth of about $71.5 billion, making him the 13th richest person in the world.
