Two Indonesian passenger jets clipped wings at Jakarta’s main airport forcing both flights to turn back and deplane passengers.
It is the second similar incident in a month, although authorities said only minor damage was caused.
The two Lion Air planes were both taxiing to take-off when they collided at Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta airport.
No one was reported injured, said Edward Sirait, general affairs director at Lion Air.
All the passengers were accommodated on other flights to Bali and Sulawesi, Sirait said.
"We are waiting for results of the authorities’ investigation," he added.
Last month two planes collided at Jakarta’s Halim Airport, causing extensive damage when a fire broke out, but all passengers were evacuated safely.
One of those planes was operated by Batik Air which is a subsidiary of the Lion Air Group.
