InsideJapan to launch virtual tour live from Japan for travel trade
InsideJapan has announced three live guided tours from Japan – plus an extra trade-only live FAM – starting from mid-May.
The Bristol-based Japan tour operator, together with its Japan-based Insider tour leader team, plans to showcase the country’s culture and nature with three ‘Virtually InsideJapan’ tours.
The ‘Virtually InsideJapan’ live series aims to bring Japan alive through the cultural knowledge and local insight of the tour operator’s own Japan-based Insiders.
"Having already run a live walking tour of Kyoto during peak cherry blossom season back in March, it became obvious that there was a demand for these live events," said PR and Partnerships Manger James Mundy.
"Over 1,000 people joined us live – with a further 7,000 or so watching the recorded version post-event."
Three ‘Virtually InsideJapan’ live walking tours are in the pipeline from May through June – starting with Tokyo’s old Asakusa district (mid-May), followed by the ancient capital of Nara and the foodie capital of Osaka in June.
There will also be one dedicated agent-focused ‘Virtually InsideJapan FAM’ broadcasting live from Bristol and Tokyo on 13 May.
Along with captivating sights and sounds live from Japan, the Insiders, travel consultants and agents sales team will be on hand to answer any live questions, giving the virtual tours an extra dimension.
Agent Sales Manager Matt Spiller said: "Following our first live event, we had many of our Agent partners come to us, keen to repeat something similar but specifically aimed at them."
The ‘Virtually InsideJapan’ walking tours will lead up to a series of more live InsideJapan events from across the country, which will coincide with the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics this summer.
